The coos, the sighs, the flaky skin.

That feathery soft hair, those ten tiny toes.

The newborn days pass in a blur of feedings, snuggles, and wondering how someone so small can take up so much space in your heart.

As a specialist in Raleigh newborn photography with over 17 years of experience (and a mother myself), I understand how precious these first days are. I know how quickly this season changes. My goal is to create photographs that help you remember not just how your baby looked, but how it felt when they fit perfectly in your arms.

The photos Christy took of my baby were insanely beautiful. She’s very talented and amazing with babies. During my newborn session she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. I even learned a few tricks to get a newborn to sleep as a first time mom. I definitely recommend Christy to anyone who wants beautiful photos of their baby!

My Wake Forest studio was designed with new parents in mind: a warm, welcoming space where you can relax while I gently guide the session and care for your baby.

Clients often call me "the baby whisperer," and after more than 17 years as a newborn photographer, I've learned that the most beautiful images come from patience, experience, and letting babies simply be themselves.

GOOD TO KNOW

Answers to frequently asked questions

When should I book my newborn session?

Newborn sessions are typically reserved during the second trimester to ensure availability. Once your baby arrives, we'll confirm the exact date and time for your session.

Where do sessions take place?

All sessions take place in my studio in Wake Forest, NC — just a short drive from Raleigh, Durham, Cary, and anywhere else in the Triangle. The studio is open by appointment only.

How old should my baby be for their newborn session?

The ideal time is between 7–14 days new, when baby is still sleepy and curly for that quintessential newborn look that passes so quickly. However, I happily welcome older newborns — every stage is beautiful.

What do we need to bring?

I provide everything we need for your baby, including blankets, wraps, tiny outfits, and headbands. My style is simple and timeless, so I don't use elaborate themes or oversized props.

If you have something meaningful you'd like to include, such as an heirloom blanket or special outfit, you're welcome to bring it along.

You'll also have access to the studio wardrobe for moms, and I'm happy to offer guidance for dads and siblings as well.

Do you offer a baby's first year program?

Yes! Many families choose to book multiple sessions through The First Year Anthology membership. It's a simple way to save on session fees, document several milestones throughout your baby's first year, and enjoy priority scheduling and early access to special events.

Do you include family in newborn photo sessions?

Absolutely. Parents and siblings are always welcome and encouraged to join in. Years from now, you'll treasure not only how tiny your baby was, but also the way they fit in your arms and the excitement of becoming a family.

What if my baby won't sleep?

Don't worry. Some babies sleep through their entire session, while others prefer extra cuddles, snack breaks, or time in their parents' arms. With more than 17 years of newborn photography experience, I've learned to follow each baby's lead and create beautiful images regardless of what the day brings.

I'd love to hear from you.
