Heirloom Portraits are inspired by traditional childhood portraiture with a softer, more modern perspective — thoughtfully styled, intentionally simple, and created to live beautifully in your home for decades to come.
These sessions are less about personality and play, and more about presence. The quiet details that change so quickly in childhood. The softness in their expression. The way they look at the world right now.
With a calm and patient approach, I create portraits that feel timeless, artful, and deeply human. Not just a likeness of your child, but something more enduring — a portrait that one day will be held, remembered, and passed down.
These portraits are created with a calm, child-led approach, allowing space for genuine expressions and natural presence to emerge. Whether your child is outgoing and expressive or quiet and observant, I work patiently and gently to create portraits that feel timeless, honest, and full of soul.

WARDROBE
Soft textures, delicate details, classic silhouettes, and understated tones photograph beautifully for these sessions. Smocking, lace, embroidery, collars, knits, and natural fabrics all lend themselves especially well to the traditional feel of heirloom portraiture.
Neutral and muted tones are always encouraged, allowing the focus to remain on your child rather than trends or distractions.
After reserving your session, you’ll receive a preparation guide with favorite heirloom-inspired shops, wardrobe suggestions, and styling tips to help you choose pieces that photograph beautifully and feel true to your child.
ARTWORK COLLECTIONS
These portraits are designed to live beyond the screen.
Each collection includes thoughtfully crafted artwork created to be displayed, held, and passed down — tangible pieces that become part of your family’s story over time.
All framed artwork is custom made using archival materials and solid wood frames in a small selection of carefully curated finishes chosen to complement the timeless nature of these portraits.

Our next limited edition Heirloom Portrait event will take place on
Saturday, July 18th
at the CJP studio in Wake Forest
Sessions are photographed individually and are intentionally simple and relaxed, allowing space for genuine expression and connection.
Reservation fee - 150 per child
To celebrate the launch of our Heirloom Portrait event, reservation fees are reduced to 99/child through 5/31/26
These sessions work beautifully for children who are able to sit independently through older childhood years.
Heirloom Portrait Sessions are intentionally designed as individual child portraits, allowing space to fully capture each child’s unique presence and expression.
Families with multiple children are welcome to reserve a separate session for each child.
That’s completely okay. These sessions are intentionally calm and child-led. Some children engage immediately, while others simply need a little extra time and patience. My goal is never forced perfection, but portraits that feel natural and true to your child.
Most portrait sittings last approximately 5–15 minutes depending on age and temperament.
Curated proofing galleries are delivered approximately two weeks after your session.
Matching digital files are included with every artwork collection purchase, and the Heirloom and Legacy collections include the full gallery of digital images.
