As a mother, a photographer, and a former preschool teacher, I’ve learned something important:
Children don’t need to be directed — they need to be understood.
I meet kids where they are, using play, curiosity, patience, and gentle guidance to build trust quickly and naturally. We move at their pace. We follow their lead. We laugh, we explore, we pause when needed.
This approach allows children to relax, open up, and show us exactly who they are — which is where the magic happens.
