I’ve been waiting on the sidelines for a few months, just waiting to heal from chemotherapy so I could get back to loving on the sweet babies. Lainey was one of my first sessions back in the studio, and oh my goodness, did this session deliver!

I have to lead off with this set because I loooove this mint green romper (available in the studio wardrobe!) and the light – this beautiful, natural light!

Sweet Lainey was such a doll during her session! And I love that mom had a bag full of simple bows in every color to match each outfit! They all worked perfectly – and has me thinking I need to get more bows in the studio wardrobe!

I’m so glad Lainey’s mom went with the First Year Anthology, because I’ll get to see this sweetie again for her first birthday in December! And I’ll get to see big sister Kinsley, who did a baby’s first year package just a few years ago – gosh, time sure flies! Look how big she is now! And such a great big sister!

I love that mom and dad now each have a little mini-me!

Have I mentioned how happy I am to be back in the studio? 🙂 Thank you, sweet Lainey girl and family for being the best welcome back committee!

The studio calendar is open for September into the new year! Be sure to book your newborn, maternity, or baby’s first year sessions early for best availability.

I’m back to share another recent session with a returning client! If you saw my posts about my photography journey as a Raleigh family photographer, you know that I “kind of” retired after I closed my studio. Over the course of this year, I’ve only taken on sessions from returning clients that have asked.

This beautiful family first found me when big brother Noland was just a baby. And now we’ve completed another round of baby’s first year photos with his baby brother, Noah!

At this point, I think we’ve used every square inch of Joyner Park for all of our sessions together. That’s partly why I love this park so much – so many gorgeous natural areas!

This first shot of Noland in the next collage was my color temperature test shot. He’s gotten used to me doing that with every session, and he throws me the best smiles – they’re always a keeper!

I love the light peeking through on those images of mom and dad together. And I love how he makes her laugh. When is the last time you had a new photo of your and your partner – just the two of you?

I only have one or two spots remaining for an outdoor family session this fall! Contact me for information and to schedule your own family photography in Raleigh, Wake Forest, and the Triangle area!

How to Prepare for Your Newborn Photo Session: A Step-by-Step Guide

Picture this: it’s your first time leaving the house as a brand-new family. You’ve managed to get the diaper bag packed, the baby dressed (twice), and everyone buckled in. As you pull into my studio parking lot, your mind is spinning with questions. Will the baby cry the whole time? What are we even supposed […]
