I recently started offering Heirloom Portraits to my clients, and Anderson and Winston were first in line to get their portraits made. I’ve photographed this lovely family many times over the last 5 years, so it was an absolute pleasure to have them back in the studio again.
Heirloom Portraits are recommended for children ages 1-8. (Of course, we can do them earlier or later!) Anderson just recently started kindergarten and Winston is about to turn a year old, so the timing couldn’t have worked out more perfectly!

I just love how both of their personalities shine through in their portraits!

I lost count of how many times we had to reschedule little Leo’s sitting up session in the studio! Between illnesses and chemo, it was quite a few! And by the time we finally got together, Leo wasn’t just sitting up, he was on the move! Even though he was a little shy at first, his personality came shining through!

We usually try to photograph this milestone before babies are crawling, but sometimes that just isn’t possible! When babies are on the move, it means more cute photos – even if it wears a mama out having to pick them up and put them back into position again and again – and again!
I just love Leo’s mischievous little grin in this next set – so cute!

The sitting up milestone is probably my favorite out of all the sessions I do, and I think these photos show why! The baby rolls, the sweet expressions, and the personality – adorable!

Picture this: it’s your first time leaving the house as a brand-new family. You’ve managed to get the diaper bag packed, the baby dressed (twice), and everyone buckled in. As you pull into my studio parking lot, your mind is spinning with questions. Will the baby cry the whole time? What are we even supposed […]
