After 10 years of juggling the weighty demands of motherhood & business, I was burning out. My photography studio was successful, but the hustle was affecting my health. I was exhausted, anxious, and miserable.
I wanted to quit everything.
I couldn't keep up with it all and felt like I was failing as a business owner. Worse, I felt like I was failing as a mother. I thought it might be better to give up my business and just go get a job. (ugh!)
But I'm not the quitting type.
So, I got to work - this time on me. I uncovered the beliefs that were keeping me stuck in overwhelm and over-work. I learned how to leverage self care - real self care - so I could be more patient with my kids and more efficient in my business. I let go of things that weren't serving me or the grand vision I have for my life. And I finally got everything out of my head and into a system so I could run my day instead of my day running me.
Now, does that mean that every day is perfectly balanced, harmonious bliss? No, of course not! Motherhood and entrepreneurship pretty much guarantee that a few curveballs will come our way! But now I know how to get back on track quickly so I can sustain the progress I've made and the momentum I've built.
I see so many women facing the same struggles I did, so I built the program I wish I had, complete with support and accountability from a coach and a community of other moms who get it.
Take care of you, then take care of business.
Establish a foundation of habits and systems that prioritize self care and integrate all the moving parts of life and business, and you'll grow a sustainable, thriving business while still being the present mom your kids deserve.
