Your new baby will be photographed in my signature soft, simple, organic style. Comfort and safety always come first, and I stick to soft, neutral tones to ensure focus stays on baby. The Newborn Experience
As a top Raleigh newborn photographer, my clients hire me for my soft color palette, baby-led posing, and beautiful light. Newborn sessions take place at my natural light photography studio in Wake Forest, NC when baby is 7-10 days new.
To ensure the best service and attention for each of my clients, I book a limited number of newborns per month and typically book a couple of months in advance. Reserving your newborn session during your second trimester is recommended.

Once I receive your inquiry, I'll send you a detailed pricing guide, and we can chat about whether a single session or our First Year Collective is right for you. Once you book with me, I'll mail you a welcome package with info on how to prepare for your session(s)!
1. Say Hello

Since newborns like to arrive on their very own time, I'll pencil your due date on my calendar once you book your session. Then when baby arrives, reach out to me and we'll schedule your session for a day when baby is 7-10 days old or so. Newborn sessions take place at my photography studio in Wake Forest, usually on weekday mornings.
2. Schedule it
Even when you're feeling a little sleep-deprived, I want you to look and feel your best! I have a growing collection of dresses in my studio wardrobe that you are welcome to borrow for your session, and even a few things for dads too!
And I can recommend a hair and makeup artist who can come to your home beforehand so you can feel pampered and prepared.
I'll also help with styling guidance for the rest of the family as well so everyone looks and feels pulled together and beautiful!
3. Planning it
Before your session, I'll send you a short list of tips to prepare. We'll start with family photos first, while everyone is feeling fresh and ready. We'll typically pause for a feeding, then move on to individual photos of baby. No matter what, I'll always follow baby's lead and pause for feeding and diaper changes when necessary. Overall, newborn sessions last about two hours or so.
4. Your Session
Within two weeks of your session, your private online gallery will be ready for viewing! You'll purchase the digital image collection that best suits your needs. Then you can choose to add on luxurious heirloom albums, gorgeous framed fine art prints, gifts for grandparents, and more! A set of custom birth announcements is included for all of our First Year Collective members. (They also save on their digital images!)
5. Your Photographs

Access to client wardrobe for moms, dads & babies
Assistance with wardrobe styling for the whole family
Private online gallery or in-person appointment for ordering
Design & planning services for artwork

First Year Collective - up to four sessions | 500
After your session, you'll order the images that you love. Most clients spend $750-2500 to fulfill their wishlists. Digital images, fine art prints, heirloom albums, framed art pieces, and more are available. Please inquire for a full price guide.

Choose two, three or four sessions over the course of 15 months.
The First Year Collective is a client favorite to preserve all of the important milestones throughout your baby's first year.
