what to expect
Each session includes a consultation to create a shared vision for your photographs. We’ll discuss clothing options, location choices, and anything else necessary to make sure you feel prepared and relaxed as our session day approaches.

Sessions are held either in your home or at a location of your choice. At-home sessions are usually recommended for young babies, where they will feel comfortable and let their little personalities shine through! Also, your home is a reflection of who you are as a family, where you can just be you.

Outdoors, the location possibilities are endless! Let’s chase butterflies at your favorite park, or go for an urban feel with a downtown session.

Sessions can vary from 1-3 hours. depending on the ages and number of children, as well as the nature of your session.

Most of your photography session will focus on the child(ren), but we do want to capture some family moments as well, so be ready Mom and Dad! Make sure everyone is wearing clothing that coordinates (not matches), and don’t forget to trim everyone’s fingernails and toenails!

Newborns are best photographed within the first week of life - and always within the first two weeks - before baby acne or colic may appear.  It is also during this time that we may achieve the curly, sleepy baby shots that we all love so much. Newborns photograph beautifully in their own skin. Of course, fun hats, tiny booties and special blankets or outfits are certainly welcomed.

Please contact me during your pregnancy to “pencil in” your newborn session. Maternity sessions are available only with the Maternity   Newborn Package.

and afterwards…
The goodies! Expect an email approximately two weeks after your session with a password and link to your private online gallery of proofs. Feel free to share your link and password with family and friends as well. Ordering prints may be done securely right from your gallery for up to two weeks!

Orders are placed once payment in full is received, and prints and other products will be delivered 2-4 weeks after your order placement. Due to the custom nature of my work, all sales are final.
