Becoming a mother changed me. I didn’t fully understand unconditional love until my first baby was placed in my arms back in 2006. Photography became my way of holding onto time that moves too fast — and helping other mothers do the same.
I’m devoted to photographing the quiet connection between mother and child that exists from the very beginning, so your children will always see just how fiercely they’ve been loved — from the start and for all the years to come.

As a mother of two myself, I’ve stood where you are: excited, emotional, overwhelmed, and trying to hold onto this season while you’re still living it.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve photographed hundreds of growing families with an approach that’s relaxed, thoughtful, and gently guided. My goal is never to create stiff or overly posed images, but photographs that feel honest, connected, and true to your family.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me in the garden with dirt under my nails and far too many tomatoes on the counter, curled up with a good psychological thriller, or cheering on Duke basketball with my family.
I’m a homebody at heart, a lover of beautiful spaces and meaningful details, and someone who believes ordinary life is often far more beautiful than we realize while we’re living it.
My family and my work both fill my life with purpose, and I feel incredibly lucky to create photographs that help people hold onto the people and seasons they love most.
