little claire is such a good baby…very mellow and quiet. she only cries when she’s really hungry or cold. she also makes these little squeaking sounds that are so funny!

1. i really want to commit to doing the “ten on tuesday” post every week. unfortunately, my mommy brain has turned to mush, so this week will be almost ten on tuesday. hope you’ll forgive me!

2. i am in love with a little girl named claire. see post below.

3. her big sister is also in love with her! macy has said “she’s so cuuuuuute!” about 1563 times, and given claire 76,309 kisses and hugs. she’s so proud, and already a little protective!

4. i love being a mom, and i feel like i do a pretty good job of it. so far, so good anyway! i guess you should check back when they are teenagers.

5. believe it or not, i’ve been bad about taking pictures of claire so far. i think i’m putting too much pressure on myself to get the perfect shot. i need to just relax and capture the moments, and not worry about perfection. i know all too well how fast this time in claire’s life will pass.

6. i’m pretty sleepy, naturally. it’s been amazing this week to see how easily i’ve been able to fall asleep sitting up. it’s actually kind of scary!

7. since i had a c-section, i’m not supposed to lift anything heavier than the baby for 6 weeks. 6 weeks! and that includes macy, who understands that mommy has a boo-boo on her tummy. but it’s so hard when she really wants her mommy and cries “mommy, i want to hold you!” so hard!

8. my husband amazes me. he’ll be the first to tell you that when macy was born, he had no idea what to expect and zero experience with babies. but with claire, he’s much more confident! he handles her like a pro, stepping in to feed her or change her diaper or do anything else that she needs.

9. ummmm……….mommy brain!

10. my little blog is about to be overloaded with babies! my own little one will of course be making some frequent appearances here, but there are 4 other babies cookin’ that’ll soon grace these pages! be sure to check back!

some people have all the luck. now, i’m not usually one of them, but this expecting young couple must be! marie and i scheduled her maternity session at an outdoor location…in february. in north carolina we don’t usually get that cold, but it is still cold! but when our session date dawned, we were blessed with the most beautiful 70-degree day! it was just heavenly, and allowed us to get a ton of belly shots like these:

i just had to come back and share a few more of my favorites from my last two sessions.

davis is just adorable! have i mentioned that i want one of my daughters to marry him one day?

i’ve known these two for a long, long time. we go way back! it was such a pleasure to take some time to visit and capture a few images today. i cannot wait for this baby girl to arrive!
