macy and i have a little bedtime we ritual that we follow almost every night. we put on jammies, read 3-4 books, and then sing a few songs before she goes to sleep.

heard tonight during our bedtime routine:

macy: song?
mommy: song? you want to sing a song?
macy: jes (with a head nod)
mommy: okay, what song do you want to sing?
macy: bc’s! (abc’s…for some reason she’s been dropping the “a” lately.)

i think i just had my first real conversation with my daughter!

yeah, yeah, i know. i said last time that i was going to start posting more, and here it’s been almost a month. in my defense, it has been a very busy month! i started a new position in a different neighborhood, and it is honestly kicking my arse. i am starting to feel a little more caught up now, so that’s good. what’s also good is that spring is here! that means longer, warmer days…perfect for a budding photographer!

we had a fun easter morning with miss macy. here are some quick pictures of her with her easter basket!

this child continues to amaze us every day. her language has just exploded…i lost count of how big her vocabulary had gotten once i passed 50 words! she also will repeat anything you say…and i do mean anything! mommy has got to start watching her mouth!

my favorite thing that she does right now is to hold her little hand up for you to hold and ask, “walk?” it is just adorable! she will also “tickle” mommy, daddy, or even jenna! the absolute best is when i come home from work or pick her up from daycare…she always comes running for me at full speed, just giggling the whole way. these are some of the little things she does that i want to remember forever.
