before having macy, i always thought i would have boys. i love how rough and tumble they can be, but also so sweet and sensitive. during my pregnancy, i just knew i was having a girl. i wasn’t at all disappointed…i just wanted a healthy baby!

now that i am raising my daughter, i couldn’t imagine life being any different. i wouldn’t want it to be. i love this little girl! i want a whole gaggle of little girls! of course, mike would need some serious persuading. and i mean serious!

on the eve of the day of thanks, a few things i am grateful for:

my darling daughter, macy. you truly are the sunshine of my life, and i feel incredibly blessed to be your mom.

my husband mike, who keeps me sane even during my most insane times. thank you for being my partner in this life.

my wonderful parents, who love unconditionally and give of themselves like nobody’s business.

my equally wonderful in-laws, who also give so much to us. we’ll never be able to repay you your kindness and generosity.

i feel so blessed to have such a fabulous family who are happy and healthy. although i may complain about the day-to-day minutiae, my bigger picture is someone who has everything in life she could have hoped for.

i’m officially portfolio-building for my budding photography business! i am now offering FREE sessions and FREE high-resolution cds of all photos! the only thing i ask in return is your patience as i learn, your time and your permission to use any photos that may happen to actually turn out in my portfolio.

once i have reached a level of consistency in my style and product, i will start charging for prints, and eventually for session fees as well. once i am really in business, cds will cost a good $400+ - if i even decide to offer them! so let me know if you are willing to be one of my guinea pigs by emailing me at thelittlethings@live.com!

this is cococay. we did not get off the ship as scheduled here, because a tropical storm had passed through just days before and destroyed everything on the island.

special thanks to nana for taking such good care of the little miss while we were gone. we missed her like crazy, but have to admit it was nice to have a few kid-free days!

our little bunny had a blast handing out candy to the neighborhood trick-or-treaters!
